Rajan GovilCo-founder & Managing Director

Rajan Govil is co-founder of Marketnomix. He has worked as an economist with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for over eight years and as an economist/investment strategist for multinational banks for ten years. Rajan was Chief Economist-India and later Regional Economist for Asia-Pacific at HSBC Bank. He was Head of Investment Strategy, Asia and member of the Global Asset Allocation team at BSI Bank until recently.

Rajan has provided and published high quality, timely, actionable research and economic analysis for market participants and policy makers. He has taught at Delhi University, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and Vanderbilt University. Rajan has a Ph. D. in Economics from Vanderbilt University.

JANAK NABARCo-founder & Director of Research

Janak Nabar is co-founder of Marketnomix. He was until the end of December 2014, a Senior Investment Strategist at BSI Bank Ltd, Singapore, having assumed responsibility for the Bank’s macroeconomic and asset price outlook for Asia in December 2013. Janak was a member of BSI Bank’s Global Asset Allocation and Investment Opportunities Committees.

He has over ten years of experience, including two years with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Belgrade, Serbia. Prior to joining BSI Bank Ltd., Singapore, in December 2010, Janak was an Economist with IDEAglobal Ltd., Singapore, focusing on the Asia-Pacific region starting December 2006. Janak holds an MSc (Econometrics and Mathematical Economics) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, MA (Mathematics) from Balliol College, University of Oxford (as a Radhakrishnan Scholar), and BA (Mathematics) from the University of Pune, India (ranked first in the University).
